S & S Hunting Club Rules

1. No alcohol or drug use is allowed in S & S hunting club.

2. If your'e on one of the main roads expect to be passed. If possible take another route around other hunters. (The purpose this rule is everybody could have an emergency and need to leave)

3. Each hunter is responsible for trash on the property and in shooting houses. If you see any trash please pick it up. In order to keep the land owner happy a $200 fine will be given if anybody is caught throwing out trash.

4. Dont tear up the property and no vehicles aloud in green fields.

5. All members are to follow all Alabama hunting laws. With the exception of S & S hunting club rules.

6. Trees are not to be cut down without approval from the board members. Road clearing is aloud as long as its bushes or limbs. Dont nail nails into any trees.

7. Nobody is aloud to be signed in before 5a.m. Once a member has signed into a stand you must go ahead and get in it. (Go directly to your stand)

8. Stands are not to be reserved.

9. You must sign in yourself your'e not aloud to get somebody else to sign you in.

10. All members must sign in at a sign in station.

11. All members must be signed in the correct stand number and in a personal stand locations. That includes whoever comes hunting with you.

12, All members have to tag their personal stand on the stand itself and on the map with a name and phone number. It must be listed on the list of personal stands. (If not it will be taken down)

13. You must sign in and out with the correct times that you arrive and leave.

14. All members must have 40 hours of work and a board member must sign off and approve of your work. A work day is considered as 8 hours if you dont put in all 8 hours you will be fined $100. All work fines have to be paid by Otober 15. No refunds on permits if this rule is broken. All fines must be paid before you can hunt.

15. Night hunting is not aloud. If caught night huting you will be dismissed from the hunting club.

16. If caught hunting from vehicles or on atvs you will be dismissed from the club. No stalk hunting is aloud.

17. Hanging personal stands is not considered as a work day. Any green field planting is not considered as a work day either.

18. All members can contact a board member for a preapproved assignment. Once assignment is complete and inspected by a board member they will sign off on your work day.

19. Each member is allowed 3 guest visits a year. If you want more than the 3 visits allowed a year then you must pay a $50 fee per visit. All guest must have an up to date guest permit. Guest without a permit will be asked to leave the property and the person who brought them will be fined $100. We need 3 days notice on the guest permit pior to the hunt.

20. A wife or girlfriend can sit with a paid member. If they want to sit alone a $500 mebership fee and there husband or boyfriend has to be present on the property. Membership holder and wife or girlfriend are not allowed any free guest permits.

21. Kids 18 and under can hunt for free. This rule only applies to immediate family. All kids over 18 will have to pay a full membership fee.

22. 8 point or better and the spread must be out past the ears and mountable. A basket rack is not considered a mountable deer. A $500 fine will be given for killing an illegal deer. That includes a spike.

23. Does must be mature and dont kill it unless your'e going to eat it. Don't kill any mature does that have a baby deer with them.

24. Does are not allowed to be shot after December 31. If this rule is violated a $250 fine will be given.

25. All members must have a picture of the deer you killed before you leave the club children and guest are included in this. (If caught not taking pictures the first offense will be a $500 fine the second offense will result in whether or not your membership will be renewed or canceled.

26. Any guest taking a buck will be charged $500 trophy fee up to a class 140 deer. Anything over 140 it'll be $1,250 fee. (The purpose of this rule is to provide all paying members that have worked on this property a chance at a trophy buck)

27. All rules apply to adults and children.

28. On a year to year basis if you kill a buck the next one you kill needs to be bigger. (Ex. first buck is a 120 the next buck has to be better than a 120) (If you kill a trophy buck that scores in the 160 range your season is not over you can still kill a buck in the 130-140 range)

29. Any shooting house is the property of the club and all shooting houses are a first come first serve.

30. All members are aloud 3 personal stand and no more than 2 in one section. Any member hunting these stands must have permission from the owner. These stands must be 300 yards away from any other stand.

31. All members need to limit unncessary visits throughout the club to prevent hunting pressure.

32. Only climbers can be moved throughout the season.

33. If your'e caught sneaking out a deer your membership will be terminated.

34. Corn isn't allowed in the green fields during hunting season.

35. Any child hunting alone must have a hunters education.

36. Squirrel hunting is aloud in zone A until January 31. After January 31 the whole club is open to squirrel hunting. All Alabama laws apply to this.

37. All turkeys must have a 6inch beard and have a picture taken with a ruler beside it. Don't kill jakes. Anything smaller than a 6inch beard results in a $500 fine. Alabama turkey laws apply.

38. S&S HAS THE RIGHT TO NOT RENEW ANYONES MEMBERSHIP THE FOLLWING YEAR
